Crown and Bridges
Sometimes a tooth becomes so weakened or damaged that it impairs normal function of the tooth. A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that’s placed over the damaged tooth to strengthen the tooth and restore its form and function. The crown is bonded to the tooth, and is cared for and cleaned just the same as all natural teeth.
1- Zirconia crowns:
* One of the biggest advantages of zirconia is its strength and durability. Consider how much force your back teeth exert on the food that you chew.
*The second advantage is the color of the zirconium which white like the natural color of the teeth which is not provided in porcelain crowns
2-porcelain crowns:
*It has a very high strength but not as high as zirconia crowns and it's color is very fake in relation to zirconia crwons
In another situation we have a missing tooth which need to be replaced so we use the adjcent teeth for support and make a bridge
